Generous House (GH) is a non-profit organization founded by members of Transformation Church in the Cedar Bluff area of Knoxville. Pastors Jaime and Sandra Goldenberg have a passion to be the church and envisioned a GENEROUS HOUSE that would serve the needs of the local community. Pastor Jaime felt that the first need to be met should be the struggle many families face trying to afford diapers, and thus the Generous House Diaper Bank was born.
The GH Diaper Bank collects diapers through diaper drives and generous donations. The diapers are then distributed through our partner agencies who are already working with the families in other areas of need. This collaboration between the GH Diaper Bank and partner agencies provides a full continuum of care for the families.
GH has also recently partnered with a local school and will begin an after-school tutoring and mentoring program in Fall 2019. Volunteer tutors will go to the school once or twice a week to work with students who have indicated they would like help in a particular subject.
As God directs and we discover other unmet needs, Generous House will continue to grow and develop new programs to serve our area.
